We camped here for a week in August. When we pulled into our site I was so disappointed. We camped in the middle of the island, No privacy at all the parking lot was in front of us and a main road to the back of us. My sister made the reservations. She will not be doing this again. I was furious. I immediately went to the office. The person at the desk, younger kid helped but wasn't very concerned. No other sites available. When my sister arrived we made the best of it by hanging a cloths line and parking cars in front of our site. The next morning I went to the office again. A women gave me 2 other sites right away to choose from. She was very helpful. In the end we decided to stay where we were. We do like this campground, very clean staff is very helpful and friendly. The new pool is very nice, clean, and the splash park is very nice too. The kids enjoyed the activities as did we. We were told one night that we were being too loud. It was after 11 and our campsite was full of people. We checked out all the other sites and we did not see another bad site. The sites on the water are beautiful. Next time were getting one of those. People we were with rented a trailer on the water with a dock . The rentals were very nice they looked like new trailers. We checked out the cabins and they were very nice. They were also new. Overall we will be going back often.
We camped here 4th of July. People and staff were very nice. I think we had the 2 best sites in the campground 108 & 109. The other sites looked a bit small. They do charge for ridiculous things like extra footage if your trailer is over 30ft? We questioned that and we didn't have to pay. We looked into the rental trailers and they are very old. Overall I did like this campground the only thing is they are strict on fires being out by midnight. They're nice about but they will pour water on your fire. The kids enjoyed the activities, pool was nice and clean. The staff was accommodating. Once camper had one of those loud remote control cars and that was taken care of very quickly. I rated it a 6 because of the fire issue. Overall I don't think we'll be back as we have more places to see. (800) 865-3829
We all liked it here. Very clean. Our sites were hugh. Sand and pine needle bottom. Restaurant, a bit pricy but good. Big pond for fishing and paddle boats. Nice picnic tables amongst the trees around the Pond. We didn't swim because it rained and it wasn't that warm. Campground was very well kept and clean. People were very friendly and helpful. I wish it had a pool. Close to the beach. The ghost tour in Plymouth was very interesting and fun. They had a big screen TV in a small pavilion for movie night. I don't remember them having alot of activities going on. I would rate it higher if they had a pool. I don't like swimming in ponds.
We loved this park. We stayed on one of Bayley's best. They had it all 3 pools, restuarant, trolley, entertainment, We stayed a week in July of 2006. We really didn't see a bad site. We could smell the ocean which is right down the road. The trolley could take you there or to other beaches or to Old Orchard beach and the pier. The only down thing which didn't bother us was they had 2 power outages while we were there but the fridge switched over to gas so it wasn't a big deal and it didn't last long. Everyone was freindly. Campground is very well kept. I remember going to bed about 12 and waking up in the morning about 8am, and they had planted flowers around the pool. When we got there I wanted a rake just to get some pebble out of the way. I went to the office and the management (Tom) said I'll have someone there immediately, and they were. The staff was very friendly and eager to make sure you were happy. We are planning to back in 2008.
We loved it here. Clean, level large sites, pool was nice, close to the beaches. Movie night in the baseball field, loved it! Laundry facilities clean. Crabbing was fun but the green heads were awful. They spray for mosquitoes. The staff very friendly and always helpful. We camped here for a week and we were glad we did. We camped with 2 other couples and they liked it as much as we did.
I agree with the previous review. We were in the J section. They really cram you in. Tenters set up the night before we left and there tent was touching our bathroom window. You were so close that you had to whisper to have a conversation. Hmmmmm maybe that's why the call it whispering pines. The staff was very friendly, although my husband did not like the gate keeper. We didn't use the pool I; can't remember why (camped in 2004) but we did find a wonderful beach with bathrooms and a snack shack nearby, East Beach. They did have entertainment, that was fine. The seasonals next to the J section were grungy and laughing at people. We will not be returning.
Yes this place is nice. We camped here before the pool was built. It was dug out but the next season it would be ready. The sites were big and level, dirt bottom. Roads were wide, lake was beautiful, walking path very nice. I didn't like that you had to pay for the amenities. Mini Golf and now the pool. The store closed very early. and the hours were limited on the mini golf. I would like to go back but they don't take weekend reservations until May and when you call in May they're all booked up. We would like to go back but we can't get in.
We've camped here a 4 times. I don't mind it as much as other people. I like it in the 200's or 700's. The sites by the office are very small and tight. Were going here Memorial Day this year. They have alot of activities for the kids and the adults. I like feeding the goats, the pools are very nice. The staff is very nice and helpful. It's dirt roads but I think the campground is kept up. This year we'll staying in Cindy's circle. This is the only place they have full hookups. That is the one thing I will say is, they should upgrade to more full hookups especially in the 700's, although the 700's are furthest away from everything, you do get your exercise walking. The 700's are my favorite.
We liked this place very much. We were here in 2006 in June and then again on Labor Day. I don't remember there being alot of activities going on. We rented a canoe. The lake is beautiful. Campground is clean, they have rakes hanging up so you can tidy up your site. The store was well stocked and the staff was very friendly and very helpful. The first time we went we were on the water, site 24. Very nice. The restrooms were very clean. On the day your leaving they passed out a survey. I believe they genuinely want to know what people think. I think if they had a pool it would be a 10 for us. We've tried to get back in but they book up fast. We will return.
We camped here 2006. May 13th. It's ok The site we had was big, grassy bottom across from the pool and bathrooms. The pool looked nice but it was too cold to swim. We didn't get to explore this campground too much. They had karoke, we had fun with that then dancing afterwards. The group we were with liked it more than I did. They want to go back. The people and staff were friendly. We hung out at our sites alot.
When I called for reservations I asked for full hookup. When we got there, there wasn't any full hookups at all. They have a honey wagon for a fee or you can use the dump station. This was a last minute reservation for Memorial day. The campground was nice enough. No pool, they had a pond. The chairs they supply around the pond were broken. We made our own fun playing volleyball. The sites were big and private. They have a snack shack in the pavilion. We had breakfast one morning. 2 eggs, ham, toast for 6.00. Activities were good. The kids had fun. They had movie night. They should change the location where they show the movies. It's along side the pavilion, reminded me of an alley way. they should have it in the field. People and staff were friendly. The seasonals were very friendly. This place would be better if it had a pool and sewer. As for returning more places to see.
